Background
Global Markets (GMK) provides innovative, customized and integrated financial solutions for finance, investment and hedging needs. GMK serves internal customers – Inter Trust, Brokerage, Clearing & Custody and Prime Fund Solutions and external customers such as Asset Managers and Hedge funds and relationships Commercial Banking, Corporate Banking, Private Banking and Retail Banking. In recent years, GMK has built a leading position in Securities Financing, Treasury, but also specialist services such as Carbon Trading.
Information Systems & Technology (IST) is the ICT department of Fortis Bank and consists of two divisions, namely: Information Systems (IS) and Information Technology (I & O). The services of IS focuses on designing, implementing, maintaining and integrating applications. The management of some systems / services has been merged into competence centers.
Due to the addition of new products covered by the Calypso system there is an immediate need for a business analyst to assist with the implementation of the Carbon and Precious Metal interfaces to Calypso. The job opening requires an in-depth knowledge of Calypso and the VaRworks system. Further, the candidate needs to have a thorough background in testing.
The candidate should have a proven track record in supporting this application for a demanding client.

Requirements
Business analyst for the VaRworks team to assist with the implementation of the Carbon and Precious Metal interfaces to Calypso.
Provide detailed business analysis and technical documentation for the VaRworks system for the implementation of Carbon and Precious Metals interfaces.
Support for testing and implementation.
Documenting interfacing requirements.
Design specification for trade, position and market data interfaces.
Liaison with market data team to ensure sufficient accurate and current information available to perform MtM and VaR.
Testing, preparing test plans, tracking defects, negotiating with business users and Calypso team to resolve issues and find solutions.

Profile
Preferably College or University level
Business knowledge related to trading in Carbon and Precious Metals products.
Good understanding of the products in scope for the Carbon and Precious Metals implementation.
o Pricing models and methods.
o Market data sources.
o Market data derivation (curves, rates and yields).
Experience of previous implementation of Carbon and Precious Metals trading systems (ideally Calypso).
Testing experience systems and user acceptance.
Documentation of design, testing and handover.
