Artsen zonder Grenzen (Médecins sans Frontières / MSF) is an independent, medical, emergency relief organization that provides assistance to people worldwide, regardless of their background, religion or political convictions. Above all, we aim to save lives and to offer medical care to victims of disasters, wars and epidemics.
MSF Operational Centre Amsterdam (OCA) currently operates medical humanitarian interventions in 25 countries. On a yearly basis MSF-Holland deploys approximately 900 international staff and employs 7000 national staff. At headquarters in Amsterdam, around 220 employees offer their support to the projects.
For our office in Amsterdam we are looking for a:
Network Administrator IT (100%)
The challenge:
You will work in a core team of 10 IT and IS specialists that focus on business/IT alignment, project delivery, support and supplier management. We are looking for an experienced network administrator who can help us support and manage our IT infrastructure. The environment support over 1500 end-users and is built around Microsoft, Cisco and Oracle technology. You will be positioned in the IT department in Amsterdam and report directly to the Head of IT.
Your responsibilities:
- Operational management of IT suppliers.
- Run and support of IT infrastructure (2nd line).
- Implementing changes.
- Deliver infrastructure components of the IT projects.
- Performance of the systems.
- Management of the VoIP and video communication systems.
- SLA reporting.
Your profile:
- An experienced and communicative IT professional with a passion for technology and able to understand its value in a specific context.
- Good understanding of IT service organisations and ITIL processes.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Able to deliver in an international and multi-cultural environment.
- Fluent in English, written and speech. Preferably also Dutch.
- Willing to travel.
- Higher vocational level or Bachelor degree.

We offer a contract for 6 months with a renewal option. Based on 40 hours a week, the maximum gross monthly salary is € 3,187. Final waging depends on your relevant professional experience.
