Senior Network Engineer bij/via Capri Solutions

Omschrijving

Join a lively and fully committed IT Operations team. The position will play a key network systems support role in a European context. The Senior Network Engineer is a key member of the IT Operations team responsible for administrative support of the IT network infrastructure environment and specialist incident resolution. You will also work on assigned and self-motivated projects for implementations, improvements and management of the IT network infrastructure environment.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:
• First/Second line network incident management and resolution;
• Reporting on network infrastructure, behaviours and trends;
• Creation and update of network documentation;
• Liaising with third-party network vendors for incident tracking and resolution;
• Using accepted systems and processes to complete tasks as appropriate.

Candidate
As a candidate you should have a proven history within IT and display the willingness and commitment to succeed within your role. You are up-to-date in current and upcoming technologies. You are enthusiastic, flexible, quick to learn, detailed, punctual, smart, and show the capabilities to make a significant contribution to the overall goals and objectives. You also have experience in working within a service driven organisation that supports 1000+ users. Exposure to European or global organisations would be beneficial.

Required experience
• CCNP with 3 + years proven experience;
• Good oral and written communication skills in English and at least one other language;
• Working in a managed project environment;
• Exposure to ITIL standards and procedures is desirable;
• Exposure to WhatsUp management console;
• Exposure to Steelhead Riverbed device configuration and/or reporting.

Training & education
Having all the certifications is not a must, because we believe experience and demonstrable skill is as important as being certified. We do however encourage our staff to become certified, therefore candidates are willing to invest time and effort to do so.
