Functie-omschrijving:
Voor een van onze opdrachtgevers zijn wij opzoek naar een ETL Consultant.
You are responsible for:
• Translation of the Data Management strategy into tactical plans and data projects portfolio
• Ensure data availability for the realisation of global business opportunities
• Initiate and / or contribute to projects
• Assess change requests relating to the Business Intelligence architecture
• Supports entities on Data Management Advice and Functional Data Support

Principal accountabilities:
• Design, maintain and enhance ETL architecture according to the principles of the Data Warehouse architecture for the Corporate Data Warehouse.
• Design and develop technical solutions to implement the ETL architecture into a robust controllable environment. Design and develop the functional requirements into optimal performing applications.
• Analyse and repair data and application faults using the valid procedures. Minimize the effect of disasters by defining and developing adequate procedures around backup and recovery of the Corporate Data Warehouse.
• Specify and implement changes to resolve recurring problems within software applications.
• Reporting and Analyses of data errors and corrections of application faults, to produce failure free data and applications without problems.
• Responsible for the handling of the queue with outstanding incidents and change requests relating to ETL.
• Identify the impact of new techniques and standards together with other BIM Departments.

Functie-eisen:
• Master working and thinking level
• Minimum of 6 years experience in BI application development area.
• Solid experience with Data Warehousing/Business Intelligence and supporting environments, specifically SQL (DB2 knowledge is an advantage) and IBM DataStage.
• In depth international Business knowledge and direct experience of application implementation within a corporate context.
• Expert knowledge across several multiple platforms, processes, architectures and methodologies.
• Experience in full life cycle application development in a commercial environment.
• Experience with IBM iSeries is an advantage.
