Eclipse Options is a high frequency proprietary derivatives trading company based in Hong Kong and Amsterdam. We are currently trading the Asian and European markets.

For our Amsterdam office, we are currently seeking candidates for the post of:

Linux Trading Systems Engineer

The successful candidate will be a part of an exciting new team responsible for the operation of our trading systems. If you have an analytical mind, believe in a proactive approach to system operations and enjoy troubleshooting mission critical systems in a fast passed trading floor environment, then this role is for you!

Responsibilities and Duties

•Maintenance, administration and support of mission critical trading systems
•Work closely with our development team on the deployment of in-house trading applications
•Work closely with the Operation teams and assisting when necessary
•Develop scripts or other tools to support our trading systems operations as required
•Follow IT policies and procedures as set forth by the management
•Provide Tier 2 support for client side applications
•Provide after-hours support as needed

Requirements

•Strong Linux skills in a production environment (Redhat/Fedora preferred)
•Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking
•Excellent technical troubleshooting and problem solving skills under pressure
•Knowledge of major trading systems: RTS, GL, ORC, Fidessa
•Exposure to market data services such as: Reuters, Bloomberg, Activ
•Familiar with at least two of the following: PERL, PHP, Java, VBA, DELPHI

Other Requirements

University Degree in Computer Science
Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English is a must
Experience in Finance environment highly favored, especially in Equity Derivatives
